What is needed to plug a cellular phone onto the Visor? I'd guess I would need a modem, but it isn't possible to use the Handspring Modem, is it?

And, I don't think I've read anything about this, but how does the webpages look like when you use your Visor to browse the net? Is it even possible? You've got WAP for the newest cellular phones, but shouldn't Visor be able to browse too then?

Question

My question falls along the same lines as the one above. I currently have a Qualcomm QPC 2700 Dual Band Phone and was wondering if there was a way to hook it into the visor to get email and to browse the web. Qualcomm's website has an accessory that will link the cell phone to a laptop via a 9 pin serial cable, but it escapes me how this item will connect to the visor. The description of the cable says its compatible with Palm type devices and I have heard of people doing this in the past. If anyone has any ideas as to how this works, they would be greatly appreicated.

TIA

I have a QCP 2700 from Qualcom, first of all you need a digital phone, 2- you need your service provider to offer such data on the go in your country, luckily, Canada is on top in NA for this stuff, I think only certain parts of the US are up on it 3- Using PCS data o the go, your phone is actually the modem (14,4, this means that you need the lastest rev version in your phone. I have that serial cable for the pc and I originally had a small adapter tha went 9 pin to Palm pins...I don't use it cause my palm is dead (and I'm so bloody anxious to get a Visor, I feel completely naked and useless without a PDA). I guess there will be a new cable adapter for the visor, sometimes, with the specs, they can be built...If you do not use a PCS phone, then you need a modem, prior to your phone connection, this is awkward and not user friendly (much like using a PCMCIA card, a digital phone and a PC...) If you have qualcomm or nokia 6100 or 8800 series, its in your phone already !

just adding, view the new cable as a morph between your Qualcomm cable and the portable sync cable that was offered by HS when the store was up hahahah! **** I ordered on the 14th, i hope my stuff got treated with the first batch even if the order is for Canada
