Question

I recently configured my mail feature (really by accident) to a particular program. Problem is I don't use the mail feature, and now I'm getting error messages each time I hotsync stating that the handheld couldn't connect with the mail server.

How do I turn off the mail feature or deconfigure my settings.

One way is to reconfigure your HotSync Manager. The following is if you're on Windows (if you're on another platform, best if you speak now :-)

1 - Click once on HotSync Manager on the System Tray (or launch it, if necessary).

2- A drop down or contexual menu pops up. Select "Custom".

3 - Select "Mail" and click on the "Change" button.

4 - Change the HotSync Action to "Do Nothing".

To that, I would add (if you don't intend to sync mail at all) click on "make default" after changing action for mail conduit to "do nothing." Then, you don't have to change the action each time you want to sync.
