Ordered a Deluxe on 10/6.

Male, 32 years old - ICE!

Graphite lookeds too stodgy, and ICE matches everything else. Can't wait for that package to come...

Cool

Well I finally ordered my Visor Deluxe, Graphite with a Backup Module Now the 4-6 week waiting time. Oh well, at least I was able to sell my Palm III for $150 to recoup some losses hehe

Count me in on a peice of that blue pie. I ordered mine 10-8 and the wait is killing me! Nice to know I'm not alone. Oh, 32 as of 10-22-99 and male. Also, I work in human services. I think graphite would have been a little too stuffy looking or "proper" for me.

Ordered 2 Blue Deluxe on 9/21...I guess that puts us in the 2nd Wave

Aside from the rampant iMac Hate/Envy, we both have laptops (hers PowerBook, mine, alas, a Wintel, err WinAMD) two kids and a ridiculous schedule. Since the master schedule is on the Mac (of course) and the calendar is a port of the late, great Claris Organizer, the conversion will be simple. 2 bumps in the road:
1. We want to share only some parts of our schedules, and I'm still looking for something that will allow you to "partially sync" a schedule
2. The PowerBook is IR, but not USB. Mine has both. I'm hoping the IR sync problem will be answered soon (yeah, as soon as they figure out how to ship all these jewels....)
Graphite's so IBM, and if you blend in with the crowd, you get stuck with the crowd!

Alas I am shamed.

I switched my order from blue to graphite tonight.

Call me silly, but I didn't want an ice-colored dock station.

Despite the complaints and cancelations because the Visors have not begun shipping, I ordered my Ice today. Why Ice? I let my 4 year old daughter choose from the Handspring website! No better reason necessary. I'll let my son do the same when my wife falls in love mine (she currently thinks it's an expensive toy -- she loves paper!).

Palm IIIx for $141? I just looked on the value america web site and the price listed is $261! Member pricing was $245. How did you get yours for $141, and how can I get one, too?

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response - I'll check it out - I'll probably get the 3x now and wait a couple of weeks for the VDx - then, the 3x will go to the wife -

PS - since I am in this topic area, I originally order a blue one - and will order another blue one when I re-order -

One more Blue here.

I considered ICE, but the buttons seemed to blend into case. I prefer the contrast look.

To each his own.

Cool

Definately GREEN. And now that I've seen how few people have chosen green, I'm even happier that I got green. At first I thought that it might be a little toy-looking, but, you know, I don't care. Yes, I'll be using it in a business setting, but I like being different. The graphite was just too boring. The blue was very nice, but I figured that most of the non-graphite people would go for blue, and it looks like I was right. Orange ... tempting, but no. That's just a little bit too out there.

So, one more vote for GREEN.

Cool

I ordered Orange. Which, on their web page, kinda looks yellow-ish, so who knows what it will look like when I actually get it?

ICE. Wanted something distinctive, but not odd.

If you cant tell by my handle, I'm getting a green one, cause I Like green. Though I got it mainly for my personal life, Ill use it at work too, where all the palm-heads have a V. Mine'll be bigger, but cooler. Its a laidback software company (no ties!) so who cares if its not dull "business" colors.

Blue for me! Ordered on 10/6, so it may be a while before I get mine.

I was going to get a green or orange but I was afraid of what they actually might look like. I think I would tire easily of those colors.

Blue is obviously the popular choice among those getting colors because blue is defferent enough without being to far out there. Not that there is anything wrong with the other colors, blue is just more conservative.

Question

I'm trying to picture all these companies where having a colored Visor would brand you as a wild, inappropriate, unprofessional risk-taker...

(Pictures of a Tim Burton-esque Gotham City, led by John Houseman wearing black and pronouncing "color... is not appropriate here" flash through my mind...)

..Denny, who ordered blue
