Ok, assuming I spelled sync right..

I am going to be using my Visor (if I get one) everywhere I hope, but my docking station and software will be at home. Let's say I'm at work and I need to hard reset for whatever reason. I could just go home and pop it back in and sync everything up, right?

That's what I thought if you said yes. Now, if I really need to jot something down and enter in another address book entry, what happens when I sync? Will the computer erase everything and just sync up one and only address listing, or will they combine and have all of them + the new one?

Just wondering because I'm new to this and things like this I'd rather not find out the hard way.

Syncing after a hard reset will restore all the data, but not the applications that you have loaded. A program like BackupBuddy would restore everything. (The backup springboard from Handspring will backup everything and restore everything without a computer, so you might want to get one of those too.)

When you sync, data you entered on the PDA is uploaded to the PC and data you entered on the PC is downloaded to PDA. (Data is time stamped to see which is the newest and that takes precedence.)

Let's say I had a few people I just hated so much I had to delete them off my PDA.

Everytime I sync am I going to have them loaded back onto my Visor.. so do I have to delete things both places? That could get tedious if you are good with deleting old meetings, etc.

when you delete a record from your Palm type device, it should ask you if tou want to save an archived copy on your pc.

Adding to what Sluggo said ... If you don't select archive on PC, it is deleted in both places the next time you sync.
