Question memplug sm as backup for 16mb prism

I Bought a memplug sm with a 32 mb card and i want to use it as a backup for an upgraded 16mb Prism running about 9mb's worth of stuff. I understand that a perfect "Backupmodule" type backup can be done. Does anyone know the step by step process

Insert you 16 MB or larger SM card. Click PiBackup. Click Backup now. That's all.

from reading other posts I thought I was going to have to create some sort of directory and then perhaps not all ( databases and all ) would be backed up. Have you done a perfect restore this way.

I've backed up numerous times, and restored a couple of times. No problems with PiBackup. It creates any directories it needs to create without a hitch.

That said, I DID format the card using PiPrefs before doing anything with the smartmedia card-- if you just bought your MemPlug and SM card, I'd recommend doing a format of the card (via the MemPlug) before anything else.

I believe you can store multiple backup images on the card-- just rename your existing backup directory, and the new backup will create a directory for itself. Then, just rename whatever backup directory you want to restore from when the time comes, and PiBackup will restore from it.
