Lightbulb New IBM's 1GB Microdrive

IBM has a new CF compatable 1GB Microdrive.

The old drive would physically fit into a Springboard CF adaptor, but the Visor supplies insufficient current to power it.

The new drive requires less current. I wonder if it would work in an adaptor?

The Springboard slot can provide 100 mA, the page you referenced says that the Microdrive requires 250 mA, so no.
