Well, I got my Visor a week ago, and set to try and load it up with software.

It had a little bug where if you pushed the UP button, it would work as the power switch sometimes, and the up button someitimes.

I hotsynched several times, and installed about 3.5M of software on it. I then didn't really get to use it alot over the next 2 days as I was busy.

I picked itup, hit power, and nothing, wouldn't start at all. I put a new set of batteries (energizer0 in it, and still, nothing. I hit the rest button and it worked, only it erased ALL my data, so I started clean again.

Since I had no way to hotsync it and it is useless to me without my data, I just let it sit there for the past 2 days. Picked it up, turned it on - nothing. Used the built-in batter tester, and both batteries are bone dead.

I guess now I will get a damn refurb machine to replace what SHOULD have been a fully functioning unit when it arrived. I am debating sending it back for a refund and either ordering another one so I can get a new unit, or else just buying a Palm so I will actually get a quality unit. Suggestions?

Cool

I think you will get a refurbished one only if YOU damage the unit. Now that your unit's defect comes from the manufacturer, you should be able to get a brand new replacement.

Unhappy

I'm having the same problem. It started out not so bad, but now seems to be getting worse. It went a week and a half, then a week, and finally 3 days before the batteries died. At least it looks to be a QC problem. This way getting a replacement should be easier.
