I'm curious to know what those of you, who have seen both color and graphite Visors together, think. Which do you think looks better, color or basic graphite?

Great question...I have a Blue on order (10/7 web) and I already have a graphite. I'd feel better about the blue if it were darker and the rear half blue also, instead of ice. I'll let you know how I feel when the blue arrives.

Cool

I plan on ordering a graphite one some time next week, I'm not into the colors thing.

Cool

well, I think that Graphit(or black) is too common (you know, palms, daVincies, etc...). But I'm not in to Gameboy style colors... that's why I choose Ice.

Cool

I tried to start a thread suggesting that there could be an aftermarket in custom paint jobs for Visors, but no one seemed interested!

Hmmm... It's a cool idea to improve the "geekness" of the PDA. I'd get mine painted as a zebra.

On my floor, we have 2 Ice, 1 Green, and 1 Graphite, all deluxe.
I definitely like the Graphite best.

Exclamation

Hello,

Just reading through your posts here....Am I to understand that the color versions have one of the five colors on the face and then the ice color on the back? Or are they the same color, front and back?

Also is there a case for the visor that would clip on my belt or the waist band of my pants?

Thank you,

Rob

Red face

From what I understand, this case is the case...I am totally reconsidering getting a blue one. For a good picture of the deluxe cases, go to http://mayhem.res.cmu.edu/~cheese/visor.html

For a clip on belt case, handspring does offer one at its website, under the accessories section.

Happy PDA'ing!

The front is whatever color you ordered, the back is ice. The graphite is graphite through and through.

I don't think I'd ever get one of the colored ones. They just look too cheap to me. The graphite looks very professional and cool looking.

I saw all the colors at Internet World and was pleasantly suprised by the graphite (black) which is what I ended up ordering. I recommend ice for those who want to see the guts. These can have matching cradles, of course. All the Springboard modules I saw are black which is another argument for graphite.

I ordered a Blue one cause i like the color blue. I am 16 years old can you guess the first words out of my teachers mouths when i go to pull it out...

"Put the gameboy away or its mine Justin"

"But..."

"Thats it give it to me"

This is my prediction

I wonder how it would look to paint the INSIDE of an ICE visor with whatever pattern you'd like. That would keep the paint unchipped.

I too was expecting the blue Visor Deluxe to look like the photo on Handspring's web page. I'll survive. I'm CERTAINLY not going to try to change my order. (maybe I should. I might get 2!)

My visor color is "clear"! No, wait a minute. I guess Handspring stilled hasn't shipped it yet.

Cool

I have an Ice. I'm not too worried about it getting dirty. The color is very similar to the translucent portion of an iMac. I like it a lot. And it doesn't look cheap, it looks very solid, which it is. I'm very happy with my color choice.

If they had a Red I might have chosen that instead.

I ordered a Blue one on 10/18, I changed the order to Black(graphite) on 11/09. The blue one on HS homepage was a nice blue, but the pics that I have seen of the actual blue arent what I had wanted, nothing against that blue, but.. not what I wanted. The ICE would have been a safe choice though.. or yes..the red, if there was one.

Now.. lets see if that pushes back the ship date now! hehe

Have fun with your Visors all of you, I will await mine patiently. ( or atleast tell myself that)
