dropped visor on floor

I dropped my visor platinum on the floor today. Subsequently my screen is just a dark square that I can switch on and off, but cannot get any of the usual functions to appear on the screen. How can I regain normal screen function or is this a machine destined for the trash can???????

Looking for help!!!!

Phil.

You could always use it as a makeshift mirror.

okay, not helpful ...
didja try reset (soft, warm, hard)? making any noises? any visible damage?
lastly did you try opening 'er up to see if any connectors are loose?

There are places to buy replacements or get repaired

http://www.palmmedic.com/ for repairs

self repair: www.gethightek.com , http://www.rosiepalmpilot.com/,

I've never used any, but a friend is about to.

Based on your description, your LCD is broken. If not black, it would only be broken glass.

Your your LCD is 'DAMAGED!'You need to replace the LCD or entire screen, called an LCM, (LCD + touch panel). The LCD is available with or without the touch panel.

The correct URL is www.gethightech.com

You could also try taking the cover off and reseating the CPU board and cable. They may have come loose in the impact.

...umm, yeah, what Yorick said...
