Question Describe your 16MB upgrade experience, please!

I am on the fence regarding doing an upgrade for my Prism to 16MB. Do I need it since I have a Memplug? Maybe not if I move ALL my apps and databases there. However, I do need some data with certain Springboards, e.g. GPS requires Map data to get the most out of it.

Tell me about your upgrade experience:who, what, where, how much, etc.

Thanks!

I purchased a Prism which was upgraded to 16mb by the guy I bought it from. Everything works fne. I keep a 16mb memory card in the prism as well, so I have a total of 32mb. Keep all the usual stuff including several memo entries; 2 translations of the bible, Noah lite with the full wordsmith dictionary ;and an ebook or two. Still have plenty of room. The prism I bought was an open box return item that this guy upgraded and then resold on ebay. His email is [email protected]. I think he is out of town until 9/7. Don't know what his charge is for a straight update but I do know his work is well done.
feel free to tell him who refered you. My ebay id is Wizardb and myemail is [email protected]

I have a Platinum. Upgraded that to 16Mb. Bought a refurbed Prism. Had that upgraded to 16Mb. The Platinum is now my backup. I highly recommend Tony of Palm Pilot Upgrade. He upgraded both my units.

I had my Edge upgraded to 16Mb in early June by STNECorp. It cost me $107 and I was without it a week. I've been very happy with it since. There has been no problem with the upgrade and you can't even tell the Edge case had been opened.

I have a memplug, but for speed and convienence, nothing beats an internal upgrade. I hesitated a bit on the cost since I could buy a new Edge for less, but what was I going to do, carry two units around?

I'm very happy I got the upgrade and wonder how I lived on 8 Mb for so long.

Mike

Talking happy upgrade customer

Yes I too had my Prism upgraded to 16mb by "Alex" (see above post). I am sooooOOO happy I had the upgrade done. Now I can take 1 minutes worth of video/ or over 100 640x480 photos using my EM2! Also keeping a 2mb dictionary on my Prism is no longer a big deal!
