Question

Is there a hack or something that will allow my Prism to stay on all the time while it's in its cradle and display a clock or something?

Yes and No

Search palmgear.com for OnCradleOn, a freeware applet that keeps your Prism from turning off when it's receiving power from the cradle. But it'll simply continue to display the current screen, so if you want it to show a clock or something, you'll need a separate app to do that.

SimpleClock

There's a shareware app called SimpleClock that will do just what you want -- display a clock AND keep your Visor awake in the cradle. It is available on Palmgear.
