I see that I can deleat "Graffiti". Before I try it, I want to make sure this is refering to the little Graffiti training program and NOT the Graffiti program that I depend on to enter text. May seem no-brainer, but hey, they should have distinguished between the two. Please help.

Not to worry.
All that does is delete the tutorial. The recognition system is part of the OS and is stored in ROM. You couldn't delete it if you wanted to.

Technically, isn't the tutorial also in ROM? Isn't all the pre-loaded software in ROM?

I believe you are correct on that. Also, because Graffiti recognition/tutorial and pre-loaded programs are in ROM, it means that they don't waste any RAM space, which I assume the first poster was trying to free up in the first place...

Specifically:
Go to home (the house icon), tap the menu icon, tap App, tap Delete. It will then give you a list of all "deletable" programs (of which Graffiti is one). It saves a whopping 14k. Also give a nice readout of your current memory (Free x out of X)
