I am interested in buying a modem for my Visor and I want to know how good or how close is it to surfing the web on the Visor compared to your computer at home? I know the size is different, but can you get all the information you get on your computer on your Visor? If someone has the Thincom modem, how does it compare and are you happy with it?

I use the Thincom, and I'm happy with it. My expectations for Visor-based web browsing are very modest, and I've been able to do what I set out to do on the web. However, my guess is that most folks who have actually tried browsing the web with any Palm OS device are less sanguine regarding the experience. You'll have the best results with text-based sites. Web browsing is an area that works better on a PocketPC; it is certainly astronomically better on a laptop!!
