Before you buy the VPhone with Voicestream service, make sure that you really want it. Once you signed your Voicestream contract you will be locked in for a year, or pay a $200 termination fee. So much for the advertised 30 days money back guarantee offered by Handspring. Good news, HS will give credit for their Visor phones.

Angry Voicestream fraud more like it

Voicestream service sucks in Hawaii. It depends where you are in the US, service can be great, or it can be horrible here in Hawaii.

First of all, my mother and sister who lives in Hilo(Big Island of Hawaii) can't call my Voicestream phone(I live in Honolulu). They get a busy signal from two separate residential phone numbers. However, I can call about everywhere in the state of Hawaii(haven't found a number I can't call).

The residential phones in Hawaii are all conducted by Verizon Hawaii.

Voicestream has never heard of this problem yet. So I'm pretty much stuck using a cellular phone that I can't get calls from my entire family. What if an emergency occurs????
