Is anyone suspicious? Any TM or copyright issues?

This was brough up a little while ago.
The one thing about Excite is that it was made before Handspring. I don't know the other company's enough to commment on them.

How about the X in the X-men Logo and the X in the malcolm X apparel..... all you need is a dot and there it is... flip, the handspring mascot.

Too many stickmen out there...

There seem to be an awful lot of corporate logos using stickmen in various stages of prancing about -- even the American Museum of Natural History uses one now. Personally, I think it comes from everyone using the same design bureau, or different bureaus that imitate one anothers' work. It's the same reason every new company division has a silly name like "Agilent" or "Itanium."

Smile

Ad-Visor(a Japanese Visor site) has "Find similar logo!" page.

And then there's always the "Spiral Logo" trend:

I think when a company creates a unique logo everyone grabs onto it. The stickman is big one, another big one is the o orbit line just like in e-normicom's logo.

It seems that everyone has a little swoosh line in their logos. Even ole Albert used it in his campaign signs.

Wink Cingular

Most of these logos convey some sort of feeling of motion or progress (especially the ones with swooshes in them.) The one for Cingular just makes me think... Splat!
