Please, correct me if I am wrong, but is it socially acceptable as a VDX owner to wait patiently for the arrival of the Bluetooth Module that will provide me with a 1000' radius of an effectively wireless connection? At 1000' I could roam my office and house and enjoy all the benefits of those who have opted for a very pricey PDA with built in wireless access.

Unless of course, in the spirit of Springboard modules, they decide to charge $250 for the module and $150 for the USB sending unit.

I think your talking about 802.11b Airport or whatever name they are calling it. Bluetooth is more like 30'.

Post True blue

And don't try to use them both in the same location. They stomp all over each other.

I want 802.11b, more than I want bluetooth so.

I am also anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 802.11b module. I am trying to get all the techs in the plant on PDAs this year, and wireless LAN would be a huge boost to our capabilities. Now if I could just get them to understand why I need a Prism instead of a VDX........

I had heard that Xircom had units in beta testing, and that they planned a release in Q3 or Q4 2001. Haven't checked their web page in a while, but you may want to give it a shot for more updated info.

olendorf - is that a Challenger?
