Thumbs down

I recently received my new case and immediately put my exposed PDA into it for its very needed protection. However I am having some difficulities with the case itself. While it is made of excellent leather and constructed well with its sturdy clip etc. My problems are with the leather cutout especially with the on/off button. I can't seem to get them to match up. I am really considering returning this product until something else comes available. I am currently waiting for a response form E&B. Any comments or sggestions welcome. Thanks

Marc

I have also been disappointed in the Slipper Case for the Prism. I had a Slipper Case for my Visor Deluxe and it was a great fit! The Prism case has a loose, sloppy fit and the opening for the Prism screen is irregular (edges are not square). The hole for the power button also does not line up. Overall, I'm disappointed in this product. I'm considering sending it back for a replacement, but the others may be the same, and I need the case!

I don't know guys, I like it.

Yes, the cut-out for the power button doesn't let you excatly get to the button but I have no problems turning it on and off.

I Like the over all look. It looks better than the vdx and the old case.

Gone are the two velcro strips on the side replaced with one strip at the bottum that seems a lot more secure. Gone also is the plastic covering the buttuns.

Also gone is the reset hole, not that you need it because ...

I can do without the zipper. sure you can sync the prism without taking out the case, but I still do. :-)

Overall, I like the case. I only wish they would make one for the prism/minstrel s combo.

BTW, It still has the dust problems.:-(

I don't have one but per Felipe's comment I sent Mike at E&B cases an email asking for a Prism/Minstrel S case on Tuesday and haven't heard back yet. He is probably on vacation or something but I can say that the case I had for my Palm Vx/Minstrel V fit perfectly.

I think if you guys are unhappy with the fit to send Mike and email and tell him. He's normally responsive on issues of this type...at least that's what I've found. I have/had about 4 E&B cases and never had complaint one on fit or finish.

I posted this awhile back.
http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...p?threadid=9608

Just wanted to mention that I tried my old EB Slipper case (Visor Deluxe one) with the Prism and it works just fine.

Others said it didn't but the leather stretches just fine over it. It seems a good fit with only a very slight pull on the right screen side of the leather and it seems that is getting better already. I keep pulling it back. Leather is a good material for stretching

It also syncs in the old Slipper case just fine. I did have to tape a paperclip (like the penny some had to do for the old visor) to keep it slightly moved forward but it is working just fine. (since then I removed it, still working) The power button is hidden but I can press it through the leather with no problems and I also cut a small hole opposite the microphone hole so I can see the green charge light.

I think it is a keeper and just wanted to let others know you may not have to invest in a new case after all.

Thumbs down Visor Prism case is going back

I bought an E&B Visor Prism case against my better judgement. My favorite cases are made by Vaja but I didn't like their old Visor case. They have a new one now that has the magnetic enclosure and is hot syncable so I ordered it. In the meantime I thought I would give the E&B case a try. I got it today.

Nice leather
Form fitting

Dislikes
Velcro
Zipper
Terrible belt clip that is difficult to get on and off.
Power button cutout is not in the right place. How hard is it to get this right?
Needless to day its going back.

I also did not like the idea of a zipper etc.. on the new Prism cases. That is why I am so happy the old (VDX) Slipper case works. Just like the old days

I don't agree here at all. Unless the new version's clip is different, I love the belt clip that is on the EB Slipper.

Very easy to get off and so far has never given me any problems and I have been using it every day since they came out. I punish my Visor as I carry it with me in the car and every place I go. it gets pushed aside and rotates all around to accommodate whatever seat I am in. Always worked fine for me.

Cool

...just a quick update on my earlier post about the Slipper case for the Prism....

I contacted Sam at E&B and explained why I was not happy with the case. He promptly responded and indicated a replacement case was on it's way. I received the replacement case today and it is much closer to the fit and quality I expected. The customer service at E&B was exceptional!

Note: The belt clip is exceptional. I'm in and out of the car all day and I've never had a problem with the clip.
