Question

Any experiences connecting your Visor to a Nokia 6150 mobile phone?
NokiGGE works fine, the NokiaTest-program gets phonebook-entries sent via IR, but I didn't find a way to connect to the internet yet.

Hey james,

The american nokia's don't have IR...
So unless any of the european users have a nokia, no one will be able to help you...

I'm waiting for the 6pack so I can connect my visor to my startac or my panasonic EBG600

I have a Nokia 6185, and it sure looks like an IR on the top. Maybe I'm mistaken, but...

Also I don't have the manual here at work, but...

Anyway just thought I'd drop my 1/2 cent in.

Tom

It's in my FAQ actually. Our North American Nokia 61xx series phones do not have IR unfortunately. (I have a 6190.) The Europeans are still ahead of us with regards to GSM.

By the way, the original poster is from Austria.

Unhappy Nokia 6150 - No internal modem =(

The nokia 6150 does not have a modem built in. So if you want to use it with your visor, you have to buy the "TDK Globalpulse" - software modem and cable =(

Couldn't you just use the software modem and connect through the IR port? The cable wouldn't connect to a Visor.
