libmal is a shared library used by AvantGo and it's associated utility Mobile Link. If you delete it AvantGo will stop working. If you have already deleted AvantGo, go ahead.

p.s. I understand it is Mobile Link (and thus libmal) are also used by a medicine application ePocrates. But I have no experience with this.

Don't forget that MobileLink is also used by Vindingo (I don't think I spelled it right, but you know what I mean).

Talking

Thanks. It's gone. I've long since replaced AvantGo with a ISIlo and ISiloWeb desktop app. I did test Epocrates and Vindigo in the meantime, so that could explain it also.

How annoying little programs like this which are so sloppy (like once that dirty up your preferences file). Is there a list anywhere or measures to take. I have DBExplorer and PZ but I always delete through the Launcher, just in case. Still, I often end up having to sift through the creator tags in PZ to see if I've still got junk hiding somewhere.

Cool

I disremember the name, but I believe there is a product that will observe software installation on the Visor, and allow you to remove all of its debris when you delete it.

Hmmp. On PalmGear there are:

InWatch http://www.palmgear.com/software/sh...amp;prodID=6423

DBCleaner http://www.palmgear.com/software/sh...amp;prodID=4737
