Replacement faceplates for VDX factor

Just a note for those who have been "kaizo" happy with our units. Gethightech is now carrying the replacement VDX form factor faceplates for 24.99. They only have 5 of the colors available, but its a helluva lot cheaper than having them shipped from HK!

I saw ice clear, blue clear, and the three metallic colors - chrome, red, and blue. If anyone orders one, please post on this thread. I'm really curious about the quality of the plastic used. After Dave came out with the AL replacement half-cover for the VDX form factor, I've been torn between the plastic with chrome plating, or billet AL.

Cheers!

I ordered one from HK - once I put it together (15 minutes) - it was just as sturdy as the original plastics. I had the plain chrome one and loved it - didn't notice any wear or scratches after a months use. But then I changed it again and went with the stock black VDX case also for sale at gethightech.

I love the dave cases, but they're just too expensive. If I'm spending that much, I'd rather buy an Edge...

I got the red chrome replacement face plate from gethightech. Its a lot brighter and redder than the website pictures might suggest. It took me all of 2 minutes to "operate" on my plain jane graphite visor plat. (my high school colors were black and red). It looks very good so far and the buttons are quieter than the original (I've had it for a week). My only real complaint is the "Who's watching" logo in the upper left corner....

Actually it's cheaper.
When I ordered mine, (Silver cover) the shipping was included.
