Would you buy a new Prism for $200??

I recently got a Sprint PCS digital Link for free and it has made my old Visor Neo much more usefull. I sorely appreciate the need for color now and am considering getting a Visor Prism. Would you all consider spending $200 for a new Visor Prism with the 16mb upgrade to be a good deal??

I know the Visor is an end of life product, but do you think I will be really kicking myself six months for now for not getting a Treo or a Clie or even a Pocket PC based system ..

no matter what you buy, there will be something way cooler and cheaper six months from now.

Do like I did and get a cheap prism, enjoy the heck out of it, and don't look at new gadgets until you find something that you absolutely cannot do with the prism and can't live without.

I purchased my Prism a couple of months ago for $200 with the 16mb upgrade. I've been exptremely pleased with the purchase and feel that I made the right choice.

I bought a regular old Prism earlier this year. I would think that the added 8mb would be worth the difference in price I paid. I've added a few programs since I gained color and have to shuffle sometimes!

I think if the digital link is the ONLY module you EVER plug into your prism, then you may be kicking yourself for not getting a treo. If, however, you pull the digital link out now and then to plug in an Eyemodule, Magellan GPS, Xircom Springport, Presenter-to-Go, 56k ThinModem Plus, Backup module, Compact Flash adapter, etc, etc, then you will still love your Prism as the ONLY color PDA that will do all that. Heck, the other night I plugged in the Springport module, dropped my prism into my stowaway keyboard, and AIM'ed with my buddy back east for a half hour while sitting on the couch. I did not chew up any cell phone minutes, did not cramp my thumbs on a tiny keyboard, and the following day was able to take my Prism into work (a security area) by simply unplugging the wireless module. I can't do all that with a Treo, Palm, or what have you.

I still recommend the Prism, new, reconditioned, or used.
