Question

If you got both, whats your strategy for copying picture that you took into CF and clearing out the existing picture to take more..

I think EM has a picture database that u can copy into a directory on the CF or something...

i didn't try it yet but if you guys did, let me know.. thanks.

I haven't had any luck with this yet - The PDB files in question are eyemoduleDB.pdb, eyemoduleVGADB.pdb and eyemoduleNotes.pdb. They copy to the CF card without incident, and I can copy them back to Visor RAM, but the eyemodule 1 application (with Prism patch, anyway) crashes when I try to view them. My friend, who has the same set up (Prism/Eyemodule 1/Matchbook/16mb Sandisk CF card) noticed that the 'Database ID' number displayed in Filez changes when you move the eyemodule databases around - that may well have something to do with the confusion, but we're not sure what to do about it.

Red face

Oh man. I guess my strategy for my upcoming vacation is hosed! And I just got the Eyemodule2 yesterday. I was REALLY hopeing I could just take a bunch of pics, copy the DB files to the CF card in a new directory each day.

Please please please, somebody please write an application that will copy pictures out of an eyemodule DB file to a CF card!!

I would give it a shot with some test images and the EM2... the software is different from EM1, and it might be able to handle DB's that have been copied to CF and back. Just remember to move all three eyemodule-related DB's.

Lightbulb A possibility...

I have an EM1 (although it's a little sick right now, so I haven't used it for a while.) and I have had success storing photos on my 8MB flash module. It's been a while since I did it, but I think that I was only able to restore the saved pictures to RAM when I copied all of the databases and the eyemodule program at the same time. I don't know why this would be, but that's what trial & error taught me.

I realize that the flash module is a different animal than the CF adaptor, but maybe this method of restoring Eyemodule pictures would also work for the CF adaptor (I hope so, because I had been planning to make or buy one.)

I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it.

Don't forget early adopters

Don't forget all of us that have the eyeModule "Classic". We need a way to get our photos out to CF cards too.
