Here is a article about "Chapura Licenses Microsoft Exchange Synchronization Technology to AvantGo"

Where do you think this is going?

AvantGo probably wants to incorporate the ability to sync with Microsoft Exchange servers into its complete Enterprise Solution product. I guess it'll make it a well rounded package.

This makes sense, re: Hoser_in_USA's comments. A couple of months ago, AvantGo aquired Globalware-- which developed the Pylon Conduit for Lotus Notes/Domino-- which is the leading groupware competitor to Microsoft's Outlook/Exchange.

For many years, I've seen, heard, and even battled in the discussions with companies requiring groupware connectivity solutions for Exchange or Notes-- with the typical question being "Software X can interface with my [Domino/Exchange] server, why can't you?"

AvantGo can now provide a more complete enterprise solution to both groupware platforms and not get iced out of the CIO's office because they don't have the widgets to make the PHBs happy.
