In an effort to reach a wider international audience, VisorCentral is going to start publishing more news from abroad.

Lightbulb Starbucks visor

I like the possiblity of a Starbucks branded visor being available, with special Starbucks software too. It would be Green and Black with the ability to select your coffee order from the bundled software and beam your order to the Barista (person who makes the coffee) while you are waiting in line. This way once you are ready to pay the drink is already waiting!!

I am sure that Starbucks have already thought of this, cause I know they are big with wireless access in their San Fran stores (even though the wireless providor is having cash problems).

Mixing coffee and computers would be great....just need to work out how to get cheese in there somehow.

I'm pretty much Handspring faithful already, but if they can come out with a module that makes coffee, they've got my business unitl the day either they or I fade into the wild blue yonder.

I think it's great for Visorcentral to expand its coverage

I am currently living in germany and I was really schocked by how expensive the Visor has remained here.

I figure I have a fair chance of selling my VDX localling and being able to have a family member buy me a NEO for about the price, if not less.

just as a little background, Tchibo is not quite a starbucks, its a "coffee" retailer. I am very suspicious that coffee is actually the intended product to sell, the actual stores are typically 80% retail goods (that change weekly) and 20% coffee.

its really kind of different and kind of cool

I think handspring or at least their german branch has been trying a different strategy (duh) in europe. Cell Phones are much more saturated here, palms much less (than the US).

The target consumer is probably a bit richer and bit more technically oriented than in the US.

sorry that last bit doesn't quite make sense. point being handheld computers haven't found their niche here yet, so they haven't made it to the mainstream.

I think TCM branding them might help quite a bit, especially cuz it will be so much more damn affordable.

Kg
