I'm looking into buying a Thincom for my Visor. I want to be able to go to a phone line and go surf the web. I'm a pretty simple guy, too, so I need a simple, easy way to do so. Preferably as cheap as possible, without any monthly fees or anything.

Yeah, I just got one for Christmas. I am using it with Juno to get free internet access. Just make sure you buy yourself some aaa's first, though. I recommend the thinmodem, but you might want to wait for the thinmodem+.

yes. If you aren't going to be using it constantly, the battery life is just fine, but the battery life dips down when you're online.

You need to get a dial up ISP. I am using Juno, which is free, but you need to get a program 'RASspy' to find out the real login name and password. I reccomend Juno because it is unlimited, it is free, and there are a lot of dial up numbers. You can get RASspy at http://rasspy.gq.nu/ Good luck!

I need to find out the "real" login name and password? What for, do they give you fake ones?

Yes, they do (at least the free ones do, it's a way to keep you viewing the ads that they place.) Just follow the directions on the RASspy homepage and use any free isp. Then enter the information on your palm and you're golden!
