I just received my brand new Ice Visor Deluxe and would like to know what Palm OS patches or bug fixes that I should load into it. I used to have a Palm IIIx and had upgraded to Palm OS 3.3 which is not an option here. I heard there was a patch to fix the screen ghosting problem, but not sure if the Visor Palm OS already has it built in.

It doesn't, but you can upgrade to v3.1.1 at http://www.palm.com/custsupp/downloads/upd311.html
This is a software patch and loads just like any other program. Because of this, it is easily removed if you feel it is conflicting with anything (I haven't had any problems with it).

Jay

It didn't seem to do anything one way or the other for my Visor. (although I don't have any grayscale apps installed at this point.)

Theo,
You're lucky. 3.1.1 locked my Visor up hard. After installing it and doing a reset, my Visor would just stay in the Palm Computing startup screen and never come out. Hard and soft resets had no effect. I ended up taking the batteries out for about 10min or so. That did the trick. Other people have reported success with it though. Maybe I'll try it again some time.

my theory is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I haven't noticed any screen ghosting, streaks, or anything like that...therefore, no need to update for me.
