Does the Neo requires the Update 3.5.2H1_5

The Neo CD comes with the OS update (Update3.5.2H1_5). My question is whether the Neo needs this update as the OS on the Neo is suppose to be 3.5.2H3 (I may be wrong).
I have installed the Neo and the Update3.5.2H1_5 always gets installed in the Neo. I've tried resetting and reinstalling and I still cannot get rid of the update.

Pls advice as to whether the update is required if not how to get rid of it. If left in the Neo will it create any problem.

Delete the file from your Visor (it is not needed), and then delete it from your PC. You will find it in your \palm\<username>\backup directory. If you do not delete the file from there, it will be reinstalled at each hotsync.

I saw the update install on my Neo as well, but I don't see how to delete it in the NEO. The delete screen doesn't show that update so I can't choose it to delete, but I do see it in the "info" screen. How do you get rid of it?

By the way, does anyone know why this update was included if the OS in the NEO is newer?

Install a program like Filez on your PDA.

Do a warm reset (hold up button when pressing the reset button).

Use Filez (or whatever program you installed) to find the HSExtensions program and delete it.

Do a normal soft reset. Upon syncing, the Hotsync manager should detect the file has been deleted and move it from the Backup folder to the Archive folder. If you want to be sure, just delete the HSExtensions file from the backup directory before you sync.
