Cool

First the VisorScreen. Then the VisorSpeaker. Now this.

Here is an idea for a module that would be quite bizarre, but I think it would have many practical applications.

The "VisorVision." It would essentially be a cable that plugs into the Springboard slot (or maybe the serial slot... or maybe both! ) , and would be able to connect your Visor to any standard Monitor / Digital Projector.

It could be used for:
Presentations (useful for those who can't lug around a laptop)
VMU.. I think that's what it's called (this would make it really cool)
Driving (For those of you with in-car aftermarket PC's with monitors that use a standard connection, it would be a life saver!)

So what do you think? It's simply an idea in my tiny brain, so I don't have the little things worked out. But if such a thing would exist, would you find it useful?

(This could also spawn a line of portable color screens for the Visor... something I certainly would not object to )

You do know several people around here are going to take "tiny brain" and run with it, right?

Actually, that would be a useful idea.
In my recent computer training classes, the instructors would use projectors to put their computer's monitor output onto a movie screen, so it would be useful when training Visor users (while Palmtops are relatively easy to learn due to their simplicity, it'll happen eventually, I'm sure).
Though, I'm not sure the visor has the power to manage a presentation.

maybe in the future, a holographic projector springboard? it'd have to have its own power I expect.

Cool Yay!

Nobody better steal my "VisorSpeaker" idea....

I would think so too. It would require a hekuva lotta software, and probably a pumped-up resolution ala CLIE/HandEra.

But I think the Visor's processor could handle it... maybe my 'secret recipe' could pump it up enough? 51mhz enough?

(At least that's what it tells me )

Presenter-to-Go can connect to either a monitor or a digital projector. It does require an external power source for the module (You have to plug it in) but I remember hearing talk of future development of a battery pack for it. Currently it only allows you to run PowerPoint presentations but a while back they were asking for people to beta test software that would allow what was on your Visor's screen to be displayed/projected. They stated that the software would be available soon.

I'm afraid that MARGI Systems may have come up with your "VisorVision" idea first.
