Question Most inexpensive wireless net access

What is the most inexpensive way? Getting one of those Nokia's and using infrared? Will it cost extra if I want to get a cable to connect a cell phone to the Visor to retrieve e-mail and browse the web?

by 'cost extra' i assume you mean on your phone bill? youd have to ask your provider about that.

I'm using a Visor Deluxe, Kyocera 2035a with Verizon (CDMA protocol) as my cell phone service and Bellsouth as my ISP here in Florida.

Even though Verizon has a WAP browser and wireless access built into the plan and phone, they charge for it (about 6.95 a month and I think .40 cents a minute). I don't use that. I just login to bellsouth using either Eudora (for email) or using Blazer for web access. No additional "net" access charges and the minutes come off what is in my plan. It's nice, works well and doesn't add a dime of extra charges to my cell phone bill (about 45 a month for 300 daytime minutes and 2000 nights and weekends - all can be used nationwide with no ld charges). I'm happy with the solution thus far.

Oh - I had to get a cable to connect the phone to the Visor. 49 bucks. Got the cable from these guys (if memory serves):

I'd really like to figure out how you are getting your Deluxe to do this. I've been battling this issue for about a week now. I had this working on a Platinum and now I'm trying to get it to work with a Deluxe.

My main problem is that I need to dial #777 to connect to the terminal and the Deluxe seems to blackhole this string or any other string of numbers preceded by one pound sign.
