ok I'm going to do 2 things in this message, 1: state my unchangeing opinion about screen pretoctors in response to the first posting and 2: make a segustion to James about screen protector dicusstion

1: 1. What would you like to incorporated into a screen protector? I would like to be able to see throught it with little or no light loss, I would like there to be a minium amount of bubbles (ie. none)and I would like there to be an adheasive rather than static cling and i would prefer that there wouuld very little static on the other side. It is also inoportant that the screen protector, protect the screen fully and last at least twice as long as the battires if not longer.
2. What would be your ideal screen protector? one that incorporated all that I said
3. What retail stores would you buy your screen protector from? Who ever sold it the cheepest.
4. What price would you pay for this Ideal screen protector? I would pay anywhere from 25 cents 50 cents a piece for them.

2: James' while i relize this can be a real dicusstion but I think that this has grown to a large bit of stupidness, so I would like to create a fourm (or a cupple sub fourms that splits up the accossory fourm in to two smaller ones) dealing with these catogories : Protection (casses and screen protectors) Function Devices (stili keyborads and cradles/cables)

I'd like to see screen protection, upon application, launch AvantGo and automatically load http://www.the-boycott.com into the channels.

Yes, it now has its own domain, sorta.

As you can see the problems come from the readers not I. I am trying my best
and taken notes of the answers to my questions. I was serious when I began this
thread. I am still serious now. I would like true feedback to these questions. This is
an example of the problems.

The problems with this and many other threads are the people do not conform to
the actual thread. If enforcement was reassuring then we might be able to offer the
consumer a ultimate screen protector.

I'm not sure what you mean by "if enforcement was reassuring"... Are you questioning the abilities of the moderating staff here?

You're right, though, people don't conform to the actual thread. But, this also includes yourself. Your "truth will prevail" postings are right up there with everything else that's gone on in here (as well as the many other threads). And, you've even dabbled in doing my job as well:

Marcus and James have entrusted me with being a moderator and I really don't need your help in doing my job.

Unfortunately, this may not be the proper place for you to conduct your research at this time. I would suggest that you add a page to your site for users to post their suggestions. We've really beaten this subject to death in the past several weeks and nobody has gained any further knowledge about screen protectors (exisitng or future products).

I'm sorry to say, but, that's the truth that's prevailing here...

I agree with MarkEagle, perhaps a better location for your questions would be your own website. You claim to have a large amount of traffic, and I think those people might have a higher regard for you.

If you check out http://www.mypoll.net, you can set up a very customizable poll to get the answers you are looking for.

Angry Go Away

I have sat by for the last few of weeks reading all of the posts concerning screen protectors and one thing has become clear.

Inventor B needs to stop trying to drum up controversy and promotion for his product.

I hope you agree with the following:

1) I suggest that he gets at least a high school education before he posts anything on this board. His spelling and grammar is appalling.

2) Any further posts by him should be TOTALLY IGNORED. If nobody responds then he can not claim the THE TRUTH WILL PREVAIL. What does that mean anyway????

InventorB do us a favor and just Go Away.....

Awwww, com'on Mark, if you read through the whole thread, I think you'll see the levity. Heck, this is funny stuff and is definately a more constructive approach. I for one want it to stand...got my first laugh today by reading the thing from the top...GOOD STUFF.

Sometimes it's easy to remember why I like it here so much

Mark Eagle, Inventorb, et al,
I think that there is some confusion over what people are allowed, and what they are not allowed, to post here.
Having been around here for a while, I have noticed how discussions often veer off the subject into other areas, sometimes far away from the original subject. That is normal in a conversation. It can be frustrating for the original poster to see this happen to "Their" post. "Too bad." seems to be the consensus. I think that compared to the other discussions that have been along these lines, this has been the most interesting. First, if we take Inventorb at his word, this post is supposed to be free market research for him. Second, if we are to believe some others, this is just a(nother?) pathetic (my own word, based on my interpretation of what was said in those posts) attempt by Inventorb to drum up controversy and infamy for himself and his product.
Both of those fall into areas ripe for sartirical barbs and statements of opinion by those responding (like myself). VisorCentral owns this website and has the right and responsibility to moderate these ongoing discussions. We members have the right to free speech here, AND the responsibility of keeping the posts within civil bounds. So far most of the responses here to Inventorb's questions have been valid answers- maybe not what he was looking for- but still they were honest (humor is honest) responses to him.
I do agree that if Inventorb wants to do market research, this is not the right place. A link to a page on his own web site with a questionaire, poll, etc., would be better for him if he wants results that he can tabulate and assess.
On the other hand, if he just wants to argue, obsfucate, pontificate, threaten, etc., maybe he should go to a bar(I know several areas around Phoenix/Mesa where he could find someone willing to participate with him at those endeavors, even if they didn't know what a PDA is).
IMHO this post should stay open until it gets unduly acrimonious, or personal (MarkEagle as moderator has that call) OR until everyone loses interest and doesn't post anymore. Until then let it go it's merry little way.

I agree... as long as it's not acrimonious or personal, it shall remain open. Inflammatory posts, however, will not be tolerated from any party (and that applies to the entire forum, not just this thread).

Ummm... that's being discussed in another thread.

This thread is about

quote:

1. What would you like to incorporated into a screen protector?
2. What would be your ideal screen protector?
3. What retail stores would you buy your screen protector from?
4. What price would you pay for this Ideal screen protector?
