Unhappy

I just setup a custom hotsync for "handheld overrides desktop" and of course this was in the wrong direction... anyone know how to recover from this?

You should simply be able to reverse it like you wanted it to be in the first place and re-synch--no?

No. Since I have sync'ed, the two are now identical, both looking like the desktop did. I saw a "memopad.bak" file in the desktop directory, but it does not seem to contain the information I am looking for...

This is no different if you copied over a file on your computer-- it overwrote the previous copy.

Unless you've made file/disk backups on your computer, you're SOL. However, there is a slight possibility that you can recover the previous files by using disk recovery programs like Norton. But the longer you've been using your computer since the "OPPS" and writing new data to the hard drive, the less chances that you'll be able to successfully recover the old data.
