I an helping a friend load her contacts onto the Platinum from the address section of OUtlook express 5. How should I set it up.

I don't think you can do it directly with OE. You need to export the contacts from OE and then import them into Palm Desktop. Export as a .CSV (comma seperated values) file and Palm Desktop should be able to import it.
