Lightbulb Edge stylus "fixes"

I see I'm not the only one who didn't care for the slippery, oval-shaped curved stylus. It seems that the Edge-specific aftermarket styli out there now have been panned by most of you, and with the Edge being discontinued we're unlikely to see anything better.

I've been in the habit of wrapping the grip area with a piece of a flexible fabric band-aid (looks like crap, but feels good). I think a piece of shrink tubing (available at Radio Shack) might also work.

Anyone have any other solutions?

...Jeff

To get rid of Stylus Rattle

Shove a teeny bit of tissue down the stylus slot pads things up and keeps the stylus rattle free (for those that do get it).

do you mean in the holder at the bottom (where the tip of the stylus sits) or in the slot where the top of the stylus slides into?

the only thing that bothers me about my edge is the rattling...oh and one other thing...but i think i'll start a new thread.

I stuck it at the top part of the silo. I figured it was easier to remove... but i suppose it'd work just the same in the bottom silo.

Off-topic: i miss how easy it was to remove and clip back on the stylus on an edge. It was definitely a lot less work than on all other PDAs..

A small portion of screen protector material, from the edge of the sheet -- works great. It can be pushed in and/or removed with a paper clip.

Exclamation Edge Stylus "fixes" - loose

BTW, the fabric band-aid strips I'm using to improve the grip also increase the diameter of the stylus slightly, which has the effect of keeping it snug when docked.
