There was another thread but I'd figure this would get attention:

Visor is shipping from the following;

Fulfillment Center
48021 Warm Springs Blvd.
Fremont, CA 94539

Also, I believe (not sure) but the shipper number or id is 951-880 based upon the outside of the box and several other threads here.

Sorry, Yes I did receive my Visor and hence that is why I have this info. Hopefully, it helps.
If you call UPS to track then you'll need the above info because Handspring won't register with them from a "Fremont" location.

Hope this helps.

Everyone is asleep and this is a worthless thread for the post just to keep up on top for all to see on Thursday AM.

Phone (510) 656-8000
Fax (510) 498-7145

Don't forget, this is the "inter"net. Here in Australia it's 6:10pm.
Very useful info.

Okay, I gave this a try. I ordered my visor on 9/14, there has been a deduction from my debit card for around $270 last Fri/Sat. So, I called UPS @ 1-800-742-5877 and chose option 1, then option 3 for tracking by shipper number. The lady asked me for the number and my zipcode. Then asked what day the shipment left (I guessed and said Monday). She said that she could not see anything specific but that something was "in the process of being shipped or has shipped" to my zipcode but she couldn't get a tracking number for it. She suggested I call the shipper. I'm not to pushy on the phone so I took her statement, said thanks and got off the phone. I might call the shipper later and I'll post again on my results.

The power of the Internet!!! This thread makes me laugh since I know Logistix which is not prepared to take calls will be receiving hundreds of calls today. It's kinda cool that the power of instant information and a community on the web can get so much real time information.

Four years ago, this probably wouldn't have happened. Have fun guys and gals...

I call UPS as well, the same as Handsprung and got the same answer - no specific information, only that a delivery is planned. (P.S. I live in Houston)

Talking

Handsprung and RSGMOOSE, you guys rock! Thanks for the info - it made my day. I WAS disappointed when a Handspring CSR told me on Monday that my 9/16 order wasn't shipping until next week. Now UPS just told me I can expect my package in Chicago today or tomorrow because it was actually shipped 10/15 or 10/18. Now I only wonder if both statements are correct, and I erroneously receive 2.

Wink

Did anyone who was lucky enough to have their Visor arrive notice a reference number on the package? If so, did it match anything, ie: telephone number, customer number, etc?

Staad and all others;

Here are all the numbers on the box:

951-880 UPS Customer Number I believe
ID H000274801010 No idea doesn't mean anything to me.

Phone: is on the box as well
PO# 991002-272 Wild guess that mine was the 272 ordered

and the tracking number of
1Z 951 880 03 1101 344 0 Spacing is accruate- I don't know if it matters though.
Hope this helps.

Zippy- thanks for the kind words.

Your number is not a correct tracking number. If it where it would give a tracking feedback here:
http://wwwapps.ups.com/etracking/tracking.cgi

ops! Now I get a feedback on that number:
http://wwwapps.ups.com/etracking/tr...umber2=&Inq uiryNumber3=&InquiryNumber4=&InquiryNumber5=&track.x=32&track.y=7

(I can't manage to post this long URL correctly. You need the copy and paste the whole string manually)

Moose,

I think the 272 is correct as far as the your number ordered. When I talked to the CSR, he refered to my order as no ~286 or so. I ordered 7pm CST on the 14th...

Gene,

I'd better rephrase since your post. The 272 might be the order entry number. I ordered at around 9:30PM on the 14th. My guess is since they hand entered the orders originally that they just took a sheet - keyed it from the 14th or something since I ordered after you did.

Just goes to show that the CS department is not the greatest thing regarding Handspring.
