Visor really pushing Prism

Handspring is now featuring the Prism on their website with its new lower price! Are they getting antsy about losing market share to all the new Sony color models and the Palm M505 or are they running down inventory in anticipation of a new color Visor?

I think so, that and they can't be broadcasting all Treo, all the time, when it's going to be months before anybody can actually buy the thing.

If they really wanted to push Prisms they could offer me a trade up on my Platinum that I bought when the price dropped to $199 last month...

Exclamation Another Upgrade Vote

I Too have a deluxe and would love to upgrade - but would prefer to upgrade to a Prism II with the following features:

16 MB
Hi-res screen
Virtual Grafitti
Landscape Mode
NOT in an Edge Form Factor!
Flash ROM (for OS upgrades)
Palm OS 4

Yeah, but would the OS licensor Palm,Inc. allow this? This is the only advantage of Palms over Handsprings.

As i have said in many posts...there is not going to be a new prism 2

its going to be an edge 2: 32mb, 640x640, color, no virtual graffitti, jog wheel, and supermans cape!!!!!!!

also the OS will not be the palms OS4 or the HS OS 3.532665912H
it will be the HS OS 6.24290460296treo975037H

Question Edge 2......How about a source?

I find an Edge 2 to be HIGHLY questionable since Hawkins had acknowledged that the original Edge was a MISTAKE!

Since you claim to know so much how about giving us some detail to the source of this knowledge?

my dear freind "dnottinghamburger",

I see that logic has surpassed most people.
as everyone, I hope, understands that i am the BAD comic-relief of the visorcentral board.

most of the sources of my knowledge come from good acid flashbacks, and the whit-russian i am drinking right now.

i know and everyone else on this board know i am an idiot that needs rehab.

i think hawkins said i was a mistake not to make the edge a color unit. but i read that after coming home for going clubbin and was a little intoxicated so that might be wrong.

i love my edge and dont think it was a mistake way back in march. even though i bought it in august. and i love it. the only thing that i am mad or think was a mistake is: it didnt come with magical powers......to get my girlfriend to have threesome!!!!!!

This has been discussed AT LEAST a few times before, and it's just not going to happen. If were Handspring why would even consider something like that? Trade in a deluxe that Handspring could only use as a trade for warranty repairs, and then sell that customer a shiny new Prism at a loss. Considering you want at least $50 for your trade in.
