Unless PiBackup were completely rewritten, password protection would have limited utility. Personally, I like that PiBackup maintains backed up .prc's and .pdb's in their original form. BackupBuddyVFS (or is it JackBack?) might be a better choice for password protection, because I believe it lumps all files into a single database that can only be restored by that program. At least, there's a level of obscurity before an unscrupulous person can access your data. Ideally, you should have a dedicated card for "secure" backups and remove and pocket or wallet it after the backup is complete. SM is better than CF for this, because it's so slim.
