My statements are the truth, bitter pill to swallow.
Any adult with an ounce of perception and intelligence knows this.

I have seen the moral decline of the last three decades, and my friend, sorry to say you are the end result of such a decline.

Ha, ha you "Do Gooders" are all the same. You are always 'right' and anyone who has an opinion different from yours is not only wrong but "dumb & stupid!" Can't you just respect the opinions of others without degrading them. Like you said ealier, don't judge me. Who are you to judge me. I think that people like you are so paranoid and afraid of the real TRUTH that it hurts. Everyone handles situations differently. I have a 5 year old son who saw the 'JJ boob'. He looked at me to see what I was going to do or say about it. I laughed, then he laughed and I proceeded to talk to him about what happened. I didn't go nuts and blow up about it because that would have been showing him it was a big deal (and it wasn't). I didn't put my head in the sand or curse the government, I spoke to him directly and he's fine. If this were to happen again around him, I am 100% confident he will handle it fine (because his dad has explained the situation to him). Maybe you should start talking to your children more instead of running scared all the time when confronted with an uncomfortable situation.

Also, you talk about pills way too much!

And if this garbage wasn't allowed, it woudn't have happened.

Yes it is good you talked to your son.

But you won't always be there to discuss what he sees. He might be with his friends who have a totally different opinion.

Your child should be allowed to be a child, without Hollywood's twisted agenda confronting him constantly.

I have grandkids older than that.

The pills refer to the Nintendo ADD, AHD Generation, twenty something ?

This is my point. I want to be the one to influence his thinking so when I am not around he will be able to make good decisions. If I do my job right, he won't want to hang around with kids that don't think like he does (ie. bad kids). This is why it is so important for we as parents to teach our children about life, so when something crazy happens while watching the Superbowl, they"ll be able to handle it.

That's great - it's what all parents should do. I suggest you go one step further for your son and try to influence the world around you to make it a better place. Then you can (1) teach your children correct principles; and (2) make life around you better, with better influences for your children.

It's something we should all try to do, including encouraging CBS to keep the garbage off of the Superbowl.

When you figure out a way to get a network exec to stop putting garbage on the TV, let me know and I'll nominate you for beatification. If you're looking for quality television (or is that an oxymoron?), you're not likely to find it easily on network TV, IMO.

Were you the guy mentioning reason? Sounds more like some religious leader preaching.

As to the rest:
- No one was showing rape or porn to children or suggesting to do so. It was a breast, and dancing . If you can't tell the difference, bad luck for you, and your children and grandchildren.

- My kids could handle something like JJ's breast without problems and without any danger of becoming "amoral". If your kids or grandchildren have problems with something like that, maybe you should reconsider your way of educating them. Hiding reality from them until they are eighteen (twentyone?) maybe isn't the best way.

- No doubt everybody should work hard to make the world better. If you freak out about Hollywood movies and the halftime show, maybe you dont't have enough energy left for the things that matter.

Since you speak about moral (and not, e.g. ethics): Do you allow your wife or your grown-up daughters (if any) to wear shorts? If so, for e.g. some muslim mullahs, or members of other societies, you are an amoral person, just like most if not all other members of US or European societies.

For you, on the other hand, people like treosixoo (and most likely myself), are the result of moral decline, so just what you are to some other people.

So in the end you turn out to be the one who is right? Why not the others who are even more extreme than you, when it comes to define what is morally correct closing or behaviour?

I like your way of thinking clulup.

It's really scary how some people think. Then they want to beat you down when you disagree with them. People never cease to amaze me.

CLULUP,

Perhaps if you thought about what you are saying, you wouldn't appear like a raving idiot.

Nobody tries to beat anybody down, but at what point will you say enough already ?

They have an an agenda, an so many people are impervious to it, they cannot even see it any longer.

Just a reminder, folks... while everyone is entitled to their opinions, let's remember that personal attacks won't be tolerated around here.

Everyone seems to have valid points, both pro and con. Unfortunately, like many things in life, this is a subject where finding a concensus would be difficult, if not impossible.

Just keep it civil, ok?

If not, I'll have to flash the hardware on MY chest (my official Moderator's Sheriff badge)!!!

Ya I think this a tad over the edge. So the guy doesn't agree with you. That doesn't make him a raving idiot or like one. Kind of contradictory to call yourself the voice of reason and then resort to petty name calling. Also I am insulted that you are accusing those who disagree with you of not thinking. Nope were just banging on the keyboard.

And who's agenda are you speaking of? ours? the media? government?

The post had nothing to do with the topic. It went to wives, daughters in shorts, Muslims etc. , pure nonsense.

If you study history and the powers and the organizations that control the world you would better understand.

I won't touch on anything but the bland from now on.

I will leave my discussions to the people who have a grasp of the big picture and what it has meant for the downfall of society.

I will limit my discussion to music, software, sports, and NASCAR........

Way to go Evanescence & No Doubt !

Actually I have to say as someone who, over time, has consistently diagreed with Clulup about most everything he's posted, he's not a raving idiot.
He might not get cause and effect, but then most people seemingly don't
But he's not a raving idiot.

Sex and violence do sell, unfortunately. If you're seeing stuff that bothers you, you do have a right in this country to try and change it.

If you want to change what's on TV though, don't expect or desire governmental action. It would be a waste of taxpayers money and in the end would not have the effect you want.

Put together an advocacy group of like minded individuals and start a barrage of emails and letters to the TV execs and tell them why you won't buy from their sponsors. Then do the same to the sponsors. It's the best leverage you could use and it's pure capitalism/free market forces at work. If it doesn't work don't watch that channel.

It actually worked for a friend of my wife who got Cabot Cheese to stop supporting the local (Albany, NY) PBS channel. They still spout their drivel, but they had to scramble to get funding. It irked them so much that they actually complained about "censorship" and mentioned her husband's name on air (she had signed the emails with both their names).

Of course you could also throw away the TV. You really won't miss it after awhile since most of it is fluff anyway

Well at least your not taking the elitist "I am smarter and more aware than all you morons that dont understand what i am talking about" attitude. It makes me feel so much better that you are lowering yourself to topics we can all understand. Whew! Now I wont feel like I am in over my head. Thanks man for thinking enough of us regular stupid folks to dumb down the conversation so we can handle it. There's a word for that. Oh yea! Condescending. Here let me use it in sentence. See if I get this right. (WARNING!! I am about to resort to name calling) Thanks for being so nice to us morons, you condescending %&#$. Did I use the word right? I think I did.

I for one am not going to comment further on infantile drivel. I don't need some sanctimonious jerk acting like he's better than me. I'll go find a thread with people who can agree or disagree on a topic without resorting to this kind of crap.
