Greetings All...

So I just read about this $100 trade in. I got a Platinum and my wife has the DLX. Is it worth the upgrade. New price $299 + $50 new case + $50 serial cradle for wife at work.

Is it that much better if better at all... Please share your thoughts.

It depends. Who is getting the Edge, you or the wife?

The only real advantage of the Edge over the Platinum is the form factor. If you use a lot of springboards, or keep a springboard (like the Flash module) in the Visor all the time, then the Edge isn't really offering much. On the other hand, if you use few modules, and you need something lighter and smaller, the Edge is definitely better.

If you're replacing the Deluxe with the Edge for your wife, then she'll get the same advantages you got with your Platinum (faster processor, 16 greys, newer OS).

So it's up to you.

I went from a plat to an edge. I didn't need the extra cradle, and case is a non-issue too because it's to sturdy and it comes with a flipcover.

There's other improvement besides form factor:

3 Fast lookup
4 Looks
