Like many of you, my Visor HotSynch worked without fail for a long period of time. Then I came into the office Monday and nothing. I had not installed anything new and had done nothing to change the setup between when it last worked on Friday and Monday morning. I tried soft resets, hard resets, computer resets, software re-installation and everything else. Finally I gave up, went to Staples and bought a brand new serial cradle to see if that was the problem.

Now it works like a charm.

Called Handspring and they seem to be aware of the problem as it only took 5 minutes to get a replacement cradle sent in the mail. Seems they are having a problem with cradle failure, so before you go erasing all your data or doing anything drastic, give this a shot if there is a Staples/BestBuy nearby. If it is the problem, call Handspring, they will replace the broken one, and you can return the one you bought once you receive the replacement one.

Hope this helps some of you.

Phil

One additional observation.

My USB cradle's *button* has gone on the blink- no response when I hit the clear plastic button.

However, if I initiate a hotsynch through the Visor Hotsynch app by tapping the Local Synch icon while the Visor is in the cradle, it works.

Go figure.
