I want to be able to write something on my visor, transfer it to my mac, and edit it there and possibly put it back on my visor...what are my options?

Thanks

there's a freeware program at palmgear called makedocdd. it converts from text to doc and back again. simple and effective. i love it. it doesn't really deal with rtf stuff, so you have to reformat once its back on the big machine. i've heard tell of converters for msword documents, but i fear they are only supported on pc's and more expensive than free.

so, i just save my mac documents as text, drag the document to the makedocdd icon, where it is automatically converted, and then i make sure once i've dealt with it on the visor (using smartdoc) to back it up... find it in the backups folder and drag it once again over the makedocdd icon, and blammy, there it is.

i just reread your post and saw that your final doc destination will be the visor. beware that very few docreaders/editors can support any sort of rtf (rich text formatting - italics, fonts, etc.) so editing on the mac then resyncing to the visor may be redundant.

anyway...hope it helps a little.

matty.

gthyb:

There is a program called MacPalmDoc at palmgear.com that seems to offer what you are looking for. However, the description was a little ambiguous, so I am not sure if you can actually edit all the files on the Visor/Palm.
You might nevertheless try it (it's shareware, $ 10).
Here's the link: http://www.palmgear.com/software/sh...amp;prodID=5552

Hope this helps,
