Two computers. Both running NT 4.0 and PocketMirror. Same service pack, version of Outlook, etc.

One syncs from the local "outlook" files on the PC.

One requires that you be connected to the network to sync from the "outlook" files on the server.

Going thru Outlook screens, screen-by-screen, show that they settings appear to be the same.

I just don't know where to look. It's so frustrating that I use the Palm Desktop instead.

Anybody have any ideas?

Question I think I missed something....

Hi Rolando--

I could not tell from your description what problem(s) you are having.

I'm guessing here but is it:

- You want both NT 4.0 computers to be the same, with respect to the HotSync'ing to Outlook? And the sync behavior you desire is the one where it sync's to the local Outlook folders and not the server contents.

Because you described the sync behavior on both NT boxes, I'm leaning towards that.

If so... Take a look at the Mail services for the NT box that's syncing to the Outlook/Exchange server. You can check the services through Outlook (in O2K, it's through the Tools->Services menu), or you can open the Control Panel/Mail applet.

Once there, click on the "Delivery" tab. I'm guessing that the "Deliver new mail to the following location" is pointing your Outlook server location ("Mailbox - YourName") rather than a Personal Folder.

If that's true, then compare it to the settings seen on the NT box that's sync'ing locally. If they differ, then you should be able to add the necessary service or change the delivery location in the Mail applet on the desired NT box.

That was a good try, but I checked and both machines are set the same (to the mailbox on the server, though).

Is this a test?

I don't have any other suggestions, other than asking if what you're doing, done and tried is what afilep mentioned in his message at this link: http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...p?threadid=2877
