Having been one of the people caught up in Handspring's web ordering fiasco a year ago, I find myself being drawn to upgrade to the Prism... Am I insane...??
This time - I know about VisorCentral BEFORE I order, so I've seen that there are;
charging problems
graffiti recognition problems
non-specific cases that don't fit
uninformed tech support people
some springboards don't work

My question is, do I really want to put myself through Handspring torture again...? Is it worth it..?? Would I be better off waiting until later in the month when they show up in retail channels...?

Anyone with experience from last year who has upgraded care to tell us all if it was as bad as before..????

Much Better

Things at Handspring are much much better than last year. Folks are getting their replacements within days instead of weeks and most orders are being shipped out within days instead of months. Still, I would wait until it hits retail before upgrading. That way, you can get to see and play with the unit before buying and can get a quick exchange if anything goes wrong.
