Unhappy Visor display dims then fades away.

Visor was working fine. Display upon switching on is fine for a few seconds then starts to dim until it is unreadable. Currently travelling with Visor, and hope that this problem can be fixed while I am on the road. Always used Alkaline batteries, and changed them when advised. Unit has never been dropped, always handled with care.

Any input appreciated

Thanks

if you have, and it still doens't work, call handspring tech support, and they should be able to arrange for you to get a new one overnighted to you..

Don't forget warm reset

A warm reset is something I rely on when I'm (re)installing software that has a button assigned to it. Seems like always get a Fatal Error during the hotsync installation. So I do a warm reset (hole down the up arrow while reset with paperclip) and things go perfectly. I just have to remember to do another soft reset after the hotsync and hotsync again to backup (BackupBuddy) the new version etc.
