Has Card Access (ThinModem) Folded?

I have been waiting for the Audible Advisor to launch and now the Card Access web site appears to be gone - my links no longer work, nor do the links form Visor Central - anybody have any insight into what is going on?

I called their number and navigated through to Product Support. Evidently, they are just having some Internet problems (everyone was evidently in a meeting discussing it), and the web page should be back up Real Soon Now(tm).

For what it's worth, I got "Unresolved Host Name" for their page. Maybe they didn't pay their InterNIC bill and lost their DNS entry or something.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. WHOIS records show the listing for cardaccess-inc.com expiring on 29-Apr-2001. Verisign evidently decided they were tired of waiting for payment. That doesn't necessarily mean they're out of business, though. Even Microsoft has had it happen to them before. NSLOOKUP at ns.xmission.com shows their actual IP as http://204.228.141.163. That link can get you to the website at least.
