I do not know how configurable vBulletin is, but would it be possible to define new smilies that can be used in message texts? Specifically when discussing graffiti issues it would be nice to key in ":ShortCut:" and have it render as a graphic of the shortcut loop.

you can still use the regular (UBB) smilies like ; ) : ) : ( etc.
for others you will need to use the [img]-tag....

If you have the image made, send it to [email protected] . Maybe he can add it in.

Hey, moderators! Any chance you could make a page to explain all the UBB coding used on the pages here? I haven't figured out how to paste the neat smilies in my posts here, and end up using the cheap looking text ones, i.e. :-), 8^]
I'd like to drag myself into the 21st century and keep up with the times. Thanks for the help!

When you're replying to a posting, at the top you will see something that says "Posts: HTML code is OFF. Smilies are ON. vB code is ON. [IMG] code is ON." Click on Smilies or vB code to find out about them.

This is a test

This is a test; the images used have been changed to the new smilies.

The version of the OS running will appear on the first line.
