i'm in toronto. i had to resort to ebay.

however, i may be selling mine. it's barely used (bought in november). i was planning on taking a road trip, which is why i wanted the phone. however, now the trip's been cancelled.

i'll know in the next few days if i'm selling. i'll probably go the ebay way as it's done me well. i'll also be including a us$25 neoprene case (blue). i'll post to VC if i sell it.

but yeah, ebay's pretty much your only way unless you have someone in america who will ship to you after HS ships to them.

Arrow Ebay only option

Ebay and the aftermarket are the only places to buy a VisorPhone right now. Handspring does not ship VisorPhone to Canada. I am selling the one I bought in December (I have decided to go Bluetooth). Send me a PM with an offer I cant refuse if you are interested. I am in Mensachicken's hometown .

Question

ya i nabbed a visor phone and that kensington keypad..for chirstmas , thank god my mom lives in the USA...I just bought it and had it shipped to her, now shes bringing it up with her, I got the fido cooking so I am excited.

One thing i was wondering about was when i spoke to the handspirng lady about shipping to canada she said that I could get a fine for using it in canada, and that why they dont ship it here. Not that I am really worried , and it's not like FIDO is gonna know im using it..I am just curious as to why she would say this? Could it have to do with FCC regulations and all that crap?

that sounds a little silly to me. i have one and use fido and fido is definitely aware i'm using it (i brought it into the store when i bought the chip and i registered it over the phone).

i ended up getting a wicked deal thru fido. i paid $75 for a mitsubishi g310 phone with sim chip and 6 months of service with 200 mins a month and voicemail included.

i then sold the g310 on ebay (without the chip) for us$45, which worked out to C$73. i ended up with the chip and the six months of 200 mins each and voice mail for $2. if i want to pay $8 a month to them, they'll upgrade it to unlimited evenings and weekends.

mensachicken1 THOSE PRICES ARE UNREAL! in the US it's like 19.99 is the lowest price and oyu get about 3 horsu of talk time total a month. You have to pay at least $30+ for a useable cellphone...

Yet for you it's only liek liek CAD $10? no fair!

Chicken man...that what I thought....so yuou are in toronto then using fido??

See the dude at the fido booth at sherway gardens told me Im not supposed to use the visorphone on the network but he said who cares hehehe,

I was thinking of getting that deal youre talking about...It really sucks I have to use Fido after almost 8 months of fighting with them over my old nokia 3390 which the screen cracked and they wont replace it...I tried Rogers and thier new GSM service but they wont let you use other phones on their network and their cheapest GSM phone is like 700 buck$ LOL! so thats not an option.

Ill just sign up under another name hehehe.,,I guess i could give the Mitzu' phone to the fiance and hook her up with pay as you go or soemthing.

So did you have to sign up for that data service crap? or do you just dial into an ISP here and use the regular fido service?

Now im even more excited..two weeks till i get it woo hoo mobile Pr0n,,heheh

hehe. yeah, and fido has no contract. can cancel at any time. if you cancel within 15 days, you get full refund for phone as well.

check it out at www.fido.ca.

well i don't use any of the data stuff. i have no interest in surfing the web on my visor. i'm a web designer for a living and spend enough hours looking at sites. not gonna do it when away from home.

if you're interested in anything besides the basic cellphone operation of the VP, i can't really help you as i've never tried. maybe Yardie knows better than i on that one.
