Question

Buying a Visor Deluxe for $250, which of course, comes with 8MB.

OR

Buying a Standard Visor PLUS the 8MB Springboard upgrade, which comes to $260...thats a total of 10MB

In addition, the Deluxe is higher in demand, thus, the standard will probably arrive sooner. and don't say Deluxe + Springboard, because that's too expensive..Thanks

The memory in the springboard module is Flash memory not RAM. (Writing to Flash memory is many times slower than writing to RAM for example.)

Think of the Springboard module has long term storage like a floppy or a HD.

I would go for the Visor Deluxe and also purchase the much more cost-effective Backup Module. It also uses Flash RAM, but you won't want/need to backup up nearly as many times as you'd have to load additional programs/DBs into the 8mb module.

The delux.

That way you don't have to "lose your memory" to put in the 6pack, or the GPS, or...

Besides you get to pick a cool color that way :-)

Just go with the Deluxe. I am damn glad I went with it (only 70 bucks more for 4x the capacity). Right now I'm using up 4 megs between the craploads of games and avant go channels I have. 8 should be plenty since if there's any reason I should come close to filling it up, there's a bunch of junk I don't need that I put on there anyway (4 doc readers, pictures, etc).

I wouldn't want to have the hassle of a module just to have more memory, and it's only 70 bucks more like I said.

As for shipping faster.. what's 6 weeks opposed to 5 and 6 days? That'll probably be the difference
