I just wondering how many of you use Serial cradle and how many use USB cradle.

I use Serial cradle (my desktop doesn't support USB).

USB port by default, and by choice if I had one... Being that the USB port is 5 times faster, I'd say this is a major selling point for the Visor, esp. if you synch a lot and use AvantGo or do other web-synching activities. (Another point is the springboard port as I find the backup module essential for peace-of-mind and convenience that allows me to stay away longer from my desktop pc.)

I think the general tendency is a desire for speed, so even a firewire (ieee 1394) transfer rate, if possible, would find a significant market.

Bought a serial with my VDX so I could use it with Win95 at home.

Until I upgraded from NT to 2000 at work, the USB gathered dust. Now I use USB at work.

I use serial at work (NT) and USB at home (Win2000). I sure wish I could reverse the two as work has a smokin' fast internet connection and it would cut down on AvantGo's download time.

USB on Desktop Win98 2nd ed, and USB on notebook running Win98 2nd also. As a side note it sure seems faster than using the serial port when I use my CE device!!

Laptop: Win98, USB
At home: will use Linux, USB (because system is running Win95 OSR2 and I don't have a serial cradle)

Currently I am only using my laptop b/c I am living abroad (without my desktop PC).

Later,

mc9

Question

I just ordered my first VDX yesterday (can't wait!). I have a 4 yr old Pentium 133 running Win95 at home (I know, I know...), so I had to order the serial cradle in order to be able to synch to my Yahoo! calendar.

Can anyone tell me what I should expect in terms of synch time/functionality? Especially anyone who uses the Yahoo! online calendar? Thanks!
