Question

Has anyone noticed excessive battery drain when using their Minstrel S? I have a DX (optimized) and the batteries usually get me through a week and a half now I get about 3 days worth with the Minstrel. I use the YY service quite a bit, but I didn't expect to be replacing the batteries so often. Am I alone here?

I'm going to try to stand the torture by not using wireless for a couple of days since this is a replacement I got Thursday. I know it will make a difference but I want to see if the drain is more or less compared with my original DX.

You need to figure out how much you're using it, i replace my battery every two days (nimh) when I'm using the minstrel heavily. If you timed how many minutes you've got your visor on while surfing you would be surprised.

My Minstrel sucks batt. power a little like my Thinmodem, because of the open Springboard connection. I tend to find that the batt. power is always 10% lower when the springboard in then out. In any case, the drain is much faster then with out the thing.
