You're 'on vacation' in nearly every thread I've seen you participate in.

On the other hand, it's really sad to see bkbk go. Did anyone ever get his e-mail address?

Probably not. He seemed really paranoid about his identity.

I'm really not sure WHY, after 613 posts, he would just leave like that.

I doubt if he did leave. He probably registered under a new account.

I hope so. If bkbk out there has a new handle, please PM me!

Yeah, Toby can get on my nerves, but I still tough it out.

LOL...what a burden it must be. If that's the toughest thing you have to deal with, you should consider yourself blessed.

Once again, you have made stuff up. I said you get on my nerves, not that you are the toughest thing in my life to deal with. Hmmmm.

I think I need a nap. Oh well, looks like I'll have to go back to renting a friend here.

As opposed to listening to what people say and actually earning friends?

Apparently, Toby doesn't get these newfangled "jokes."

I realize it may take you a while to learn to read for comprehension, but that one was an easy one. You said: Yeah, Toby can get on my nerves, but I still tough it out. Even if meant sarcastically, this implies that dealing with me is 'tough', which it isn't.

Apparently, Toby doesn't get these newfangled "jokes."

'Jokes' would be apropos. There was nothing funny there. Apparently you can't decipher when someone is feigning being totally literal in order to try and drive a point across.

You may think it isn't. But you can't know for sure. I do find it 'tough' in some (many) cases.

It's subjective, but the intent was NOT hard to grasp.

I prefer the use of Mr. Winkies.

Quite a few people manage to do it daily and don't seem to mind.

But you can't know for sure.

I deal with myself on a 24-hour a day basis. I'm the most qualified person to know.

I do find it 'tough' in some (many) cases.

Well, as I said, if that's the toughest thing you have to do, consider yourself lucky (let's see if the point sinks in this time).

It's subjective, but the intent was NOT hard to grasp.

Exactly my point.

I prefer the use of Mr. Winkies.

'Mr. Winkies' is superfluous.

Will you be appointing yourself a certified self-knower now?

Would someone else like to take this one? Would someone else like to repeat that Toby is twisting arguements? YOU need to eat your OWN words before you expect others too.

Mr Winkies tells me you stink, and that you're a dum-dum head. Ha Ha. I kill me.

Now people, THAT is just sad. Mr Winkies is also going to bomb your house. Uh oh! That sounded serious! See how stupid that was? See how utterly sarcastic I am being? See how stupid it is that I have to waste 30 seconds of my life just POSTING this????

Wow, it took irony the size of King Kong for you to get that one? I'm not surprised.

Toby is not twisting arguments. Toby is using a hypothetical statement to try and put things in perspective for you. Toby would also make the hypothetical statement that "if bblue is the toughest thing that one has to deal with, one should consider oneself lucky". I'm not surprised you didn't get that one either.

And it took you the repetitions of Al Gore proportions to get you... oh wait, you're not there yet.

The problem, is that you feel it is relevant. In which case, I never SAID it was a big deal. But you seem to think that putting it in perspective will make it more relevant. IT DOESN'T!

I never said I didn't get it, I said you were differing from your arguement's topic relevancy!

You made the original statement. I didn't.

In which case, I never SAID it was a big deal.

You said it was tough, hence it's obviously significant to you.

But you seem to think that putting it in perspective will make it more relevant. IT DOESN'T!

No, it was irrelevant, but you said it, so I thought you needed a bit of perspective. If you think that dealing with me is tough, and you think it's worthy of mentioning, you lack perspective.

I never said I didn't get it, I said you were differing from your arguement's topic relevancy!

What argument? You were making a statement about bkbk being gone and decided to bring me into it by saying that dealing with me was tough. I tried to put that viewpoint into perspective for you.

BTW, regarding your sig...You're no Bertrand Russell, and neither was bkbk. Talk about irrelevancy. Furrfu

Annoying, yes. Significant, not really.

I thought it was worthy of mentioning because of bkbk. Duh. Otherwise, it would have been mentioned a hekuva lot sooner going by your standards.

And while you're at it, why not give your pencil a battery back-up??? Ha Ha.

Bertrand Russell feels that way about cup holders?

It's in memory of bkbk! Does it offend you?

(for anyone else trying follow some of what's being discussed)

Bertrand Russell was a mathematician, philosopher, and athiest who ran afoul of religious leaders in the 1940's after taking a position at New York City College. I'm simplifying the story, of course.
Einstein wrote "Great spirits have always encoutered opposition from mediocre minds" concerning Russell's difficulty. It was a matter about religious and academic freedom.
